Serani Back with a Bang for 2012
Kingston, Jamaica. - Multi talented artiste/producer/musician Serani is starting 2012 with a bang with a barrage of new singles and the release of two new videos coming out soon.
The artiste has hit a milestone in his career with sales of his hit song No Games passing 200,000 copies. Serani's new material will feature on his ready-for-release mixtape Make Me Stronger - title taken from his new single on Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor's 'Tenement Yard' rhythm. It will feature fresh tracks such as Naah Beg Friend on Fire Links' 'Off the Bench Riddim ', a rhythm Serani built for Links, Chimney Record's My Life, Real Friends produced by Cashflow Records and Have You Ever featuring Sashi produced by Serani's own label, DASECA Productions.
Serani's keyboard performance of Sweet Love at HOT 97's 'On Da Reggae Tip' show last year, revitalised the record, spiking spins both locally and abroad and a video was subsequently shot for the single. The clip premiered on Internet video channel VEVO two weeks ago and has already shot to 70,000 views.
Serani recently performed in San Diego and Arizona and jets off the island this weekend to kick off a 28-day tour of Europe.
In a release sent to The STAR, Serani said, "give thanks to God," and, ... hard work pays off, that's all I can say." I have been putting in a lot of studio work in the latter part of 2011 and hope the fans accept the new material as they have in the past. It's a very competitive environment but I'm just staying humble and focused and trying to make great music."
His 33-city tour of the United State and Canada titled 'Skip To Ma Lou' with Ding Dong and Bugle - helped cement Serani's fanbase in North America, and he hopes for continued success there this year.
"I've been very blessed in my career, getting the opportunity to perform in many different places," continued Serani in the release. "I'm looking forward to giving music lovers all over Europe a great show. I've toured Europe several times before, and I think the hard work is paying off with the amount of shows we have this time. It is very important as an artiste to build and nurture these markets.
Serani will return to Jamaica early March, where he will be recording again and gearing up for more shows in the US. He will be performing at this year's staging of 'Best Of The Best' on Sunday, May 27 in Miami.
