RUNWAY READY III, THE FASHION SHOW EVENT
The only way to get a taste of first class local and international fashion in the far west of Jamaica is at a Runway Ready Fashion Show Event.
UK fashion designer Victoria Brown in collaboration with Beach Whites an all white boutique is back and in full swing with Negril’s hotest must-attend event—set for Saturday 18th February 2012 at the Boardwalk Village, Norman Manley Boulevard.
The Runway Ready III Fashion Show Event is going to be even bigger and better than before with Victoria Brown upping the ante by offering 7 great designers from all corners of the islands. Victoria Brown is confident that Negril is the place to be if you want to discover exciting trends and original pieces from the island’s best designers.
Up and coming fashion collections and pieces will be showcased by designers such as Minka, Pablo Palair, T&T Designs, Vintage ’83, Cinderella Hats and Westmoreland’s own Jennifer Allen whose line is called Empress by Jennifer and Terence Calvin.
As a follow-up to Runway Ready II held on December 9, part proceeds from the show were handed over to Victoria Brown’s chosen charity—Mother’s of Jamaica (MOJ). Headed by the determined Stephanie Bell, MOJ is committed to empowering, educating and nurturing children while enriching families and communities by supporting mothers and fathers. Bell was so impressed with the impact of the show on fostering the creativity of local designers and careers in fashion for local models that MOJ has thrown their support behind Runway Ready III with no hesistation.
Victoria Brown’s vision for the Runway Ready series is to create a fantastic opportunity for people in and around Negril to see some of the talent and skills that designers have to offer while enjoying an evening of first-class entertainment. She believes our designers all have fantastic stories to tell through their designs and Runway Ready III provides the ideal forum for this.
Seating is limited and tickets are available from The Boardwalk Village as well as the event’s main sponsor Beach Whites All White Boutique. Patrons are encouraged to buy their tickets—affordably price at $500 pre-sold or $750 at the door—and get to the show early as the production is expected to start promptly at 8pm. Wray and Nephew Ltd has also come onboard and are offering early bird 2 for 1 drink specials starting at 6pm so catching Negril’s famous sunset before the start of the show is even more enticing!
