PTERNSKY
Every generation, an artiste is born, one who was designated from birth to be a leader, to entertain and to teach, to uplift and to encourage, showcasing to the world the absolute power of music.  Pternsky was born Ronny Boyce on 25th February 1983, in the city of Port of Spain, in the country of Trinidad. 
Growing up as a young boy, music was always around him and that desire for excellence and believing in the dream was slowly being nurtured by these influences, his father a very talented, extremely versatile percussionist played with the Amoco Renegades Steel pan Orchestra. Fond memories of listening to his father’s records and playing studio with his mother’s cassette recorder, while playing on his toy drum were the foundation and the years that came after the stepping stones. At 12 years of age he was the sound clash champion of his school.
The untimely and unfortunate passing of his dad motivated and fueled the passion to write, to speak and to express himself in words. Lyrics flowed and songs were written and the journey began. He had accepted his calling and faith kept him alive, performing at every opportunity that was bestowed upon him.  He built a loyal following of family and friends in his neighborhood.  At 19yrs he recorded his first demo at Ibo Joseph Studios, self driven and motivated by hearing his voice recorded professionally for the first time, he continued his journey, taking him to the Caribbean Sound Basin where world international producer Micheal White produced a track for him, thus resulting in introductions to producers Shellshock and Darryl Braxton. Andre Tanker and Orange Sky made requests for him to perform on stage with them and he also performed at the much anticipated Splash Dance 2000 alongside Beenie man. He even did a track with Soca Icon Crazy where he met Trini producer legend Carl Beaver Henderson, all the while still doing jingles for Signal.
All these experiences and many more,  taught him valuable lifelong lessons about the music industry but he never once entertained the thought of giving up, believing in his dream and constantly keeping original Pternsky pushed on. Then came that fateful day, introduced to Christian Gold at the home of Lukie a mutual friend, the CD of beats by Christian was played and Pternsky’s flow was timeless. “Pternsky is the hottest ting since the steelpan and the first time I heard him, I knew he was the one, when passion meets passion, history is made” - Christian Gold.  Pternsky was signed to Running High Records and his journey now began with earnest. Fresh and reborn he embraced his future. He was pushed to the limits, now having his personal producer who took the time and effort to shape his lyrics into infectious tunes.  Perfectionist Christian Gold demanded nothing less than excellence and Pternsky delivered 100% in dedication, commitment and creativity that in the development months over 70 songs were fully produced.
Keeping his head on and representing for the youths, Pternsky believes that there is hope for the young people of the world. Having been through personal highs and the very lows in his life, he knows it is easy for the young ones to be led astray and has made it his mission as an artiste to stimulate the world with culture and positive messages, to take lyrical content further. His personal motto- Success is waiting for the diligent!
With his debut album “Volume ON” due for release in December 2009, The world awaits the new brand of tomorrow, the fusion of genres to create the perfect blend, the underground artiste, the clash champion, the lyrical master and the hottest ting since the steelpan. PTERNSKY. Nuff said.
